Introduction: There are many who have been seeking God. Those who seek will find Him. Those who desire to see Him will behold His glory. If we desire to see Him, we may be saved. If we do not desire to see Him, we will be lost. Those who seek and find Him during this life, will behold Him in glory. Those who do not seek Him in this life will look upon Him in judgment with much sorrow.
That’s the contrasted condition of the future of those who come to Him and those who do not come to Him.
Those Prepared, or better yet, those who accept Him as their Savior and are looking for His appearing, to them He will come without sin, and bring to us our final salvation, our final deliverance from the world and mortality. His people will meet Him with a shout. They will enter in the joys of their Lord.
That’s what Hebrews 9:28 says, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time, without sin, unto salvation.”
Those Not Prepared, or better yet, those who do not accept Him as Lord and Savior. Those who reject Him. Those who had no desire to get acquainted with Him, are not looking for His appearing. When He comes, they cannot stand to look upon His face; they had rather be crushed to death under a mountain of rocks than to look upon Him.
That’s what the text in Revelation 6:15-16 says, “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captain’s, and the mighty men and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.”
It’s interesting how the patriarchs and prophets desired to see Him, but they died without having realized the hope of their fondest dream. But, you and I have lived to see His day.
Those who enjoy Him here will be happy to meet Him at His coming, and those who shun Him here cannot stand to be in His presence.
You may feel like you have no time to prepare, but what would happen if God called upon you to give an account of yourself to Him?
In the rush of life, you may feel like you are too busy, but life has a way of slowing you down, and whether you want to or not, you may have to take time to lie in a hospital.
The most certain thing in life that we will have to take time for is this—time to die. One day you will find time to die. Everyone will meet God either PREPARED or UNPREPARED; If prepared, it will be heaven; if unprepared, it will be hell.
This has been a food for your soul moment! Are you prepared or Not prepared?
